Jo is Reader at the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow where she leads a programme of research on school health. She has worked as a public health researcher for over 20 years, specialising in child and adolescent health. Currently she leads the international Health Behaviour in School-aged Children study, the largest study of adolescent health and wellbeing in Europe. Her research interests include the impact of electronic media use on health outcomes during adolescence.
