Hazel joined Borders College as Vice Principal of Finance & Corporate Services in October 2018. She previously held the post of Director of Finance & IT with NHS Orkney. Having spent the majority of her career within the NHS in Scotland, she also spent two years working for the University of Edinburgh Development Trust.

A qualified accountant, Hazel’s skillset includes performance management, risk management, strategy, quality planning and improvement, project management, IT, information governance, and operational management.

Hazel’s approach is to work with people to develop solutions that offer significant benefits and suit the situation at hand.
