Accessing accurate, up-to-date information has never been so important in property and estates management, yet staff frequently struggle to find what they need to make well-informed decisions – or just to do their job. Our client, a major name operating in a fast-paced retail environment, was facing exactly these kinds of information challenges, all too familiar to managers of any large, public-sector estate. Their portfolio is large and fast-changing, incorporating both trading and non-trading buildings, land, and infrastructure. Since 2016, PCSG has been engaged with the mission to develop an easy-to-use, secure “Digital Estate” that enables our client to quickly, accurately, and completely access their information, find the answers to their questions and gain insight into their operations. We will present an overview of our work to date, including key challenges faced and solutions developed.
