David was appointed in his current role on the 1st May 2013. He was Director of Innovation and Enterprise Services Directorate at Scottish Enterprise from August 2010 to 30th April 2013 this included, Business Support, Innovation Specialists, Rural and Co-operative Development Scotland. David was Interim CEO of Scottish Development International in October 2009 and also Director of Operations, Scottish Development International, having previously been in the post of Director EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), as Director of Operations David was responsible for the day to day management of all of SDI operations. David has considerable experience across the private and public sector, having worked in a number of roles in ICT, Retail and Aerospace sectors.He has degrees from Edinburgh University (BSc Mathematics) and Strathclyde University (MSc Operational Research) and INSEAD Business School (MBA). Married with 2 sons and 1 daughter he and his family currently live in Glasgow.
